My earning is from Salary only. Which ITR form will choose for return ? I have chose ITR -1 for Salary . But one of my consultant said that you should be filed return in ITR-2. I asked him why It is ITR -2, he justified me that exempted income above Rs.5000/- shall be filed a return in ITR-2.
Please clarify me whether it is correct or not.

you can now file itr-1 due to correction made by the dept. now you can file itr-1 even your exempt income exceeds Rs. 5000/-.

Yes, if exempted income exceed Rs. 5000/- you can not upload itr 1. You have to choose itr2A
