Invoice issued with excise duty for export purpose

Dear Sir,
We have sales the goods under form-H under sales tax charging Excise duty in FY Year 2008-09 for export purpose which finally exported. As per rules Excise so paid is refund by cheque or credit in RG 23 after complainace/submission with Excise Authority. Due to eyesight, we could not able to make an application for refund till date. However, now we have all paper's as required in our hand. Is that possible to make application for excise duty refund? or it time barred and have to remedy except to forget !!!

The time limit for claiming the rebate is one year.
