Invalid PAN No quoted in Challan

Dear all
During Paying Advance Tax on 15.12.2007 for the Asst Year 2008-09 PAN no was Wrongly quoted in Challan.
Now the Assessing Officer has not considered that advance tax payment. What is the remidy available kindly let me know

You please inform the matter to AO.This not the big problem.

and also approach to your banker where you paid the tax .
because everywhere it is online therefore
taking wrong PAN number the systenm will not accept it will show as eror.
hence take a copy of PAN approach to your banker
