I have received a intimation in which I have to pay tax of Rs.1980/-.they send attachment of challan.
when I asked to pay my CA says its just a mistake of A.Y., Dept. raised this intimation for the A.Y. 2008-2009 in which your taxable income as per Return filed Ack. is Rs. 107766/- so No Tax.
But Dept. Raised this Inti. by mistake it calculate on your A.Y.2009-2010 on which your income was Rs. 1,29,210/- so dept. took A.y. 2009-2010 taxable income in A.Y. 2008-2009.
so we have to give rectification u/s 154 with that two yrs ack.
Do its right way doing by CA or not ?
Plese helpful peoples advice me wht to do ?

If you are sure about the mistake, pl move a rectification application u/s 154 (2)(b) of the Income tax Act,1961.
