Dear Experts,
for my Tax return filed for AY 2011-12, I had a refund and the same was credited to my account and the final status on my income tax login dashboard says "refund has been paid and rectification has been processed and no demand no refund" But couple of days back I received a e-mail from CPC with an attachment which said Intimation u/s 143(1) dated 06-oct-11 and Old CPC reference no and a New CPC reference number. Nothing else was mentioned. I looked into my login to see if there are any pending actions from my side and there was none. What is the meaning of this letter ? Do I have to do anything with this.

Seems some operational changes has been made by CPC, and informing the assessee's to use the new reference number if he/she/they seek rectification of 143(1).
Nothing has to be done if 143(1) is correct.
