12 December 2010 I allwage get confused on following 2 point in terms of VAT matter
1) if an organisation sales or purchase goods within State, what is it called?(Interstat or Local)
2) in which purchase(local purchase or inter state) an organisation get Input credit to adjust sale tax(VAT)

please inform me by informe in brief

12 December 2010 1) Called as local or intra state transaction.
2) On local purchase that too on tax suffered purchase bills.

12 December 2010 No. Intra state means with in the state. Inter state means out side the state.

13 December 2010 it meanse if purchase made vide itra state then we will get Tax input (credit ) and throught inter state we will not get any credit, M I right sir?
