25 March 2011 Respected All my collegues and friends,
I have a query relating to interest charged U/s. 234 A.
Whether it charged is before due date for filling Return of Income, we paid all the tax due. And if the answer of the above is no to interest U/s. 234 A then what to do if return has been filed and interest also paid U/s. 234 A. Can we file rectification U/s. 154 in such case ?

25 March 2011 IF TAX HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE DUE DATE OF FILING THE RETURN AND THE RETURN IS FILED BELATED, INTEREST U/S 234A SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED.

25 March 2011 Thanks Sir for your quick reply, but i also some query relating to Rectification U/s. 154 ?
If you aware about that also, please guide me about it... like timr limit to file it, how to file it...
Return was filed belated for A. Y. 2010-11.
Refund was due as per such return.
And also return was e-filed.
Please give me reply as early as possible..
