23 August 2012 dear sir an individual transporter is liable for service tax under reverse charge if he is having 7-8 trucks and issuing bilties etc , if yes limit of Rs 10 lac is available

26 August 2012 If he is a truck owner, he is not having any liability to pay service tax. Under reverse charge, the service receiver will be paying service tax for the GTA service.
