Indian address of foreign national with oci for din appplica

23 October 2012 One of our family members is a US citizen residing in India & having a OCI card (Overseas citizen of India). I want to apply for DIN for directorship of that person in our family’s pvt ltd co.

Can I use the address in the OCI card, which is an Indian address as the address proof in the DIN application ? ie.It is an Indian address of the place where our family stays for the last 21 years.

I think OCI will not be acceptable in case of NRI.

Q. What are the additional information/ documents required in case of a foreign national?

Ans. Details of a valid passport should be filled in form DIN-1 and a certified copy of same should be attached with DIN application. All supporting documents including photograph should be certified by the Indian Embassy or a notary in the home country of the applicant or by the Managing Director / CEO / Company Secretary of the company registered in India, in which applicant is a director.
