23 June 2010 What is increase / decrease in stock? How to calculate and interpret it by looking at P&L and Balance sheet?

23 June 2010 this is the difference between opening stock and closing stock, you need to take difference whether the increse or decrease

23 June 2010 Thanks! So calculation will be Opening -Closing Stock or Vice versa.
If Opening - Closing is +ve, then how do we adjust it and if Opening - Closing is -ve, how do we adjust it and interpret them

23 June 2010 Opening - Closing = Negative you need show in the credit side since the clsoing stock increased

Opening - Closing = Positive you need show in the Debit side since the clsoing stock decreased
