I want to pay tax online through ITNS 280. But bcoz tax is related to last year, so will have to pay Intt also.
Should I pay intt. also under heading of "Self Assessment Tax" or should I pay it through some other way.
Also, does this online payment method (TIN-NSDL) work fine.

Yes you should Pay the Interest.
In Challan 280 Write the Income Tax, Ed. Cess, Sch Ed. cess and Interest amount separately.(Break-up Wise)

Sir, today I am trying to pay Income tax of last year (A.Y. 2011-12) using online payment (link:https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp)
Afterwards, I am redirected to bank's website, where I fill passwords and other measures etc. But at the very last step, a message is displayed "Transaction not allowed". This has been happening with me since morning. What could be the problem and how can I pay the tax?
