Can two registered firms have identical name or symbols (trademarks)?

possible provided that it shall be in accordance with The Trademark Act,1999

If te trade mark is not registered then as such there will not be any problem. But the parties may start proceedings against each other. It is advisable for them to get their mark/name (style of writing etc) registered.
