Is Income tax required to be deducted on payment made to a management trainee?

In what capacity? Salary or professional fees? Say the management trainee is paid Rs.10000/- for 5 months what is the tax implication?

IT should be done as per salary TDS. Amount paid to trainee engineers will be considered as salary as per the defination given in various tax mannual. It also covered the stipend paid.

That means for payment of 50000/- there will be no TDS.
