Intimation u/s 143(1) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 is issued by the department in the following cases:
1) When there is a refund due to the assessee
or
2) Tax is payable by the assessee.
1) When there is a refund due to the assessee

2) Tax is payable by the assessee.
