I paid excess Income Tax(TDS,Self assessment etc)during F Y 2010-11(A Y 2011-12)(being reflected in 26 AS) but forgot to claim refund while filing Income Tax(did not include self assessment challan while filing). Can I claim for it now and how.

Time period of filling revised return is over for AY 2010-11, so you can not claim the refund.

Where is the mistake that is "apparent on the record" as he has not include the self assessment tax challan.
and intimation u/s 143(1) is not an order.
so i think has has to forgo the refund.

Thanks for the advice,my case is for AY 2011-12.in your reply you have referred AY 2010-11.Can I still file a revised return.My original return was manual in which i had claimed some refund also which I have received.

you had to revise the return on or before 31/03/2013.
