02 January 2010 control & management of HUF depends upon KARTA ?
if a karta has never been in india, then will the status of HUF be compulsorily NON-RESIDENT ?

03 January 2010 Control and management may not necessarily be done by the karta.
In his absence other major member(s) of family may control or manage the affairs of HUF. If karta is non resident but the decision regarding the family's affairs of the family are taken in India by other members here, the HUF's status will be taken as "Resident".
