16 June 2017 if assessee received HRA (as per form 16 show) but form 16 HRA exemption not provided, now ITR filling can assessee claim HRA. 2nd question is can such assessee claim 80GG, if he not want to claim HRA

16 June 2017 01. Yes, assessee can claim the HRA exemption at the time of filing return of income.
02. NO, 80GG is for those who do not get HRA.

16 June 2017 Thanks 4 ur reply. Sir if assessee work in past 1 month (april 2016) nd not got HRA , now cn he claim 80GG for 1 month. and work 11 month (may16 to march,17) nd got HRA , now he cn claim HRA exemption.

my question is both HRA 11 months) nd 80GG (1 month) cn b claim.

and how much 80GG Deducation amount either 5k or 2k for AY 2017-2018.
