17 May 2016 If one person who is paying 15k as a rent but claiming 40K rent expenses as his HRA is 50% of Basic
is there any problem in Future???

17 May 2016 yes if you have to rent agreement and PAN of landlord and payement detail requiured. if not available then you have to pay the tax intt & penality.

17 May 2016 We have rental agreement and pan no of lanlord but in agreement rent is 15 k only

17 May 2016 so? Go by the actual figure of 15K and not by the imaginary figures.

17 May 2016 As per income tax rule 26C form 12BB has to be submitted by employee to employers in relation to HRA, LTA, Interest on home loan and chapter VI deduction.

So what ever you pay same to be declared for deduction. So declare actual payment.
