I work in a Pvt Ltd company.
Salaray Break up:
1.Basic
2.HRA
3.Convenience Allownce
4.City Compensatory Allowance
5.Special Allowance
I reside in Rented House in Kolkata
I want to know for exemption of house rent
if I calculate
a)Rent Paid-10% of Salary
Here salary means in my case which one is applicable:
a)Only Basic
or some thing Else?
I dont have provident fund in company nor receive Dearnes Aloowance.

Only basic since you do not have Dearness allowance(if terms of employment so provide) and commission based on a fixed percentage of turnover.
