(Querist)
26 August 2008 Section 23(4) speaks of notional rent / deemed to be let out property. i already own a house property say at Flat no. A and the after 3 year i purchase adjuscant property at Flat no. B and at the same time i join the two flats due to my require ment. Now there are no two residential units. its only one unit.

so do i still need to offer one as deemed to be let out...

26 August 2008 No, the two units joined to make a larger unit for self occupancy will not be subjected for notional rent and will be treated as a single unit in self occupation.
