If a Private Equity Firm acquires more than 51% of share holding of any company will the private equity firm be defined as Holding Company ?
As per Companies Act, it will be.
But because of PE being the investor - I want to know is there any thing specifically said.

Companies act is applicable to companies regsd under companies act so accordingly, definitions mentioned thereunder is applicable to companies..so same is not applied to private equity firm....i think so
