Help needed in rectifying wrong amount

since last 4 years, my brother is filing returns with wrong amount shown as shares Investments.
Before 4 years, he made a loss of around 85000 in stock trading, but didn't disclosed and showed this Rs.85000 as investments in shares
Now the actual investments in shares is only 8000. Now how do I rectify this mistake and bring the investments in shares to actual value? (i.e. The share loss was not disclosed and was shown as investments.)

Debit the Capital A/c of the assessee by the amount of capital loss and credit Investment
