11 August 2017 Can gst on Service be paid in India after getting payment from party:
This firm has raised only two Invoices so far for their Service both in July'17. They are yet to receive payment from the party. Can they pay GST after getting payment and show the transactions in the future returns by filing nil return for July And August '17 in which they rendered service, raised bills but not received payment.

11 August 2017 GST has to paid on basis on raising on Invoice and not on the basis of receipt. Whether you have received the amount or not you have to pay GST while filing the return.

11 August 2017 If Service is provided to outside India no GST payable.
In case of local supplies as invoice is issued you have to file the return relevant for the month of invoice. Delayed payment attract interest collect it from your customers.
