26 June 2014 Dear Sir ,
I want to ask if any Govt Employee (Post Office Employee ) recd salary Rs 45000/- p.m for 4 month after four month he retired and getting Pension for Rs 15000/- p.m for 8 month ,so total salary he got 190000 (45000*4) and total pension he got 120000 (15000*8) and how can we taxable as per income tax act 1961.


i will be thankful to you please reply

26 June 2014 employee salary and pension will taxable under the same head income form salary.
if his exempt income is more than rs.5000/- then file ITR-2. otherwise ITR-1
