Goods cleared - from jobworker premises

07 July 2012 Under AP VAT act, it is possible to clear goods ( Finished products ) from our job worker premises to direct customers.

1) Direct to our customers
2) Tranfer as stock transfer basis

And also, it is required to inform VAT authorities about job worker premises as office of place of business?.

There should be no problem.You should issue the statutory delivery note along with your invoice and clearly stating that the products sent for job work as per your order and sent as per your elivery note are being collected and sent directly to your customer.Generally what happens is it becomes difficult to convince a checkpost or mobile inspection squad who may wilfully create some problem.Officially speaking, it is permissible.In your delivery note you should specify the place from where the movement of goods started and where it will end.You should attach a copy of job work invoice also to suport the change in the origiinating point of movmnt of goods.....MJK
