24 September 2010 can we get godown registration with new dealer name as same its tin?example:dealer name : X company and we need godown registration with other name as y Company.Subject related to TNVAT'2006.

the godown is only storeage purpose

not for any sale or trading purpose

if you keep a name or not it is not the business concern.

if you do the business entirly diff entity from X to Y

then only you need the seprate tin

otherwise you can use the same TIN

27 September 2010 if the branch premises fall under same district or same state the TIn number will be same.

only you should make intimation to the VAT department with the copy of rental agreement & covering letter
