17 October 2013 RESPECTED SIR , 'm a student of ipcc under direct entry scheme and currently doing my articleship n completed my ITT & ORIENTATION COURSE ...i want to ask whether i have to do GMCS 1 IN the 1st year of articleship or not???????//plz...sir guide me

17 October 2013 GMCS-I (15 days) - during 1st year of articled training..

GMCS-II (15 days) - after completion of 18 months of training but before completion of articled training...

17 October 2013 Yes u need to undergo GMCS within 1 year of STARTING ARTICLESHIP.

The Council at its 326th Meeting being held from 27th-29th July, 2013 at ICAI Bhawan, New Delhi has decided to grant one time extension to students, who were registered for practical training between 1st May, 2012 and 31st December, 2012 to complete GMCS-I Course latest by 31st December, 2013.

The eligible students are advised to contact the nearest Regional Council/Branch for registration of GMCS-I Course and complete the same at the earliest but not later than 31st December, 2013.
