IS FORM 23B IS COMPULSORILY TO BE FILLED BY AUDITOR OF PVT. COMPANY. I THINK YES BUT MY SIR TOLD ITS NOT COMPULSORY AND FOR FILLING SRN IN FORM 23ACA/AC ANY NO. (DEFAULT NO.) IS REQUIRED TO FILLED)

Law is silent about whether form 23B required to be filled by auditor in case of private company...nothing is written in law whether it will file in the case of public ltd or private ltd....so if we take practical view then form 23B compulsorily required to be filled by auditor irrespective of public or private co.....in case not filled then default SRN required to filled in form 23AC/ACA...default SRN is "Z99999999" fill this default no in form 23AC/ACA

Pl note that'SRN of form 23B' is asked for in e-form 23AC vide clauses 10 (1)(e), 10 (11)(e) respectively and not in 23ACA.

Filing Of form 23B is must for a private company. However in case of non-filing of form 23B you may fill Z99999999 in E-form 23AC.
