i have recently filed ITR-1 for a bank employee (AY 2016-17).he had a arrears salary of Rs.32697,for that amount in form-16,it is showing a tax on salary received in arrears of RS.1395, But i forgot to upload form-10E on or before the return filed date. yesterday we have received letter of intimation u/s 143(1) from IT dept to pay tax of Rs.1395 as i didnt mention in my return of relief u/s 89...my query is.
1. Whether i should revise the return with upload of form 10E or
Just uploading of form 10E is enough...???
2.Again i should sent any hardcopy to cpc by post..???

Kindly answer to me....

11 September 2016 Sir, I am a bank employee what I have done is I have filed the return in due date of filing as over IT act .but I could not upload 10 e as my digital signature could not be used for filing income tax return.and I have taken new digital signature and filed 10e
But I had shown the relief u/s 89 when I filed the original return on due date

My opinion is if on the sec 89 relief column the amount is mentioned then only upload of 10e only required.if section 89 amount is not mentioned then you have to file revised return
