04 February 2010 sir i m student of final ca n my attempt is in nov 2010 sir i have one problem that whenever i read any provisions of any subject like law audit or taxation wihthin one month i forget everythin i tried different ways to solve but unsucceed sir please help me i m in problem n which book is better 4 costing n fm bcoz i m very poor in maths

05 February 2010 Hi Vinit, Hw come is it possible that u r weak in calculation as u have already cleared ur second level exam n only final is remaining. As far as forgetting provisions is concerned, it is the problem faced by many students doing professional courses. Keep ur mind away from negative thoughts. Just do your study properly and believe in the potentials of ur mind. It is such a fantastic machinery that it can do anything and everything. U only need to train it properly. Do revisions at regular intervals. make a revision sheet of case laws and imp. sections and after reading a particular chapter, revise it for continuous 5 days. Adterwards, revision can be done every 15 or 20 days. keep time restriction while revising the chapter and try to crash time to 5-10 minutes per chapter for theory. as far as books are concerned, for costing - Saxena- VAshist and for FM- Shridharan are good books.
