13 November 2010 Dear friends, what is the last date of filing of income tax return for the financial year 2009-10 & if we file online that what will be the last date of sending of form-VI to I.Tax authorities.

13 November 2010 Last date without penalty 31.03.2011
Last date with penalty (Rs 5000/-) 31.03.2012.

Further it is ITR V and not VI. It has to be submitted within 120 days. Please see the instruction mentioned below in your ITR V.

For Corporate & Other person covered U/s44AB (Tax Audit cases) due date is 15.10.2010 as there was time extension otherwise its 30.09.2010 for F.Y.2009-10
For all other persons its 31.07.2010
