Filing of Nil Return

Mr. X is getting salary Rs. 10,000 p.m ie. 1,20,000 p.a (Below the tax limit) . Can we file a nil return in this case ? Is Form 16 required to file the Return of Income ?

As per IT rules you are not liable to File Return. However, in case you want to file the return you can file it.
Practically sometimes IT Officers refuses to accept the return, but if you want to file you can ask them to accept it.
No it is not compulsory to get Form 16 to file the return.

Now, you can file return online without any ITO role, whether income below than tax limit.
