09 April 2018 Dear Team,

I have business and profession income below 5 lacks, due to certain circumstance i couldn't file my return for the A.Y. 2017-18 ( F.Y. 2016-17) and i have refund in this A.Y., and now i want file return for the A.Y. 2017-18.and wants to take refund for the same.
Request you to please suggest how can i file this return?? as the last date of filing of this return is 31-3-2018.

Please suggest how can i file this return for the A..Y. 2017-18 with late penalty fees.?? Also suggest the way of
penalty payment process.

13 May 2018 first file an application with the jurisdictional Commissioner of Income-Tax seeking condonation of delay in filing the return. the application should mention in detail the reasons for not filing the return within the due date. Once the condonation application is accepted by the Commissioner and an order condoning the delay is passed by the Commissioner, then you can file the income tax return online. A copy of the order is required to be attached on the e filing portal.
