05 November 2008 Is a chartered accountant's signature compulsory while filing an individuals return even if his net taxable income is zero??

06 November 2008 Chartered accountants signature is not compulsory while filing an individual's income tax return. But if the assesse's turnover/sales/gross receipts exceeds Rs 40 lakhs/Rs.10 lakhs ,as the case may be,the accounts are to be audited by a CA and auditors name,membership no,date of audir report etc should be necessarily shown in the return of income.
