02 August 2013 In form 16 tax payable is zero. Is it mandatory to file ITR 1 for AY 2013-14 ?

02 August 2013 if you have no income of salary
but if you have any income then you have to file return

02 August 2013 Is it mandatory to file ITR 1,having income from salary but its under the slab rate. No other income.
In form 16 Tax payable is "Zero"
Kindly clear the doubt.

02 August 2013 If your income from Salary is below the exemption limit of Rs 200000/- then not mandatory to file return. But it is advisable to file the return and maintain record.

04 August 2013 If your total income before chapter VIA deductions is more than basic exemption limit Viz.200000 it is mandatory to file return under section 139(1)
