26 July 2012 Hi,

If i m getting interest on FD's with Bank and TDS has been deducted by Bank. Then, can I claim refund of the same if i have no other income besides this and which ITR form to be used.

Thanks

26 July 2012 use ITR 2. You can claim refund. Hope you have PAN.

26 July 2012 You need to file ITR-1 and yes you can claim refund

27 July 2012 Correct me if I am wrong. ITR 1 has been devised for those ITR2s having limited heads of income. ITR1 is for assessee's convenience. If he/she wishes, ITR 2 can always be filled and filed.
