FBT on Fixed Allowances

My Client has been Paying Fixed Allowances to their employees as Conveyance,Mobile & Fooding.Whether it will attract FBT Liability?if it than guide it.

If your client considers the allowance as part of the salary and hence subjects them to tax then FBT is not applicable.

The said fixed allowances does not attact the provisions of the FBT.

If they are form part of salary no FBT. Otherwise FBT will attract.
