EVERY ONE KNOW THAT THE DATE OF AUDIT REPORT FOR THE ASSESSMENT YEAR EXTENDED TO 30-11-2014. IT RETURN FILING DATE i.e SEP-30 NOT EXTENDED IN THE NOTIFICATION OR THE NOTIFICATION IS SILENCE ABOUT THE IT RETURN FILING DATE. ONE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT DATE OF UPLOADING OF AUDIT REPORT IS REQUIRED TO MENTION IN THE ITR. THEN
? IF ONE NEED TO FILE THE 3CB 3CD AFTER 30-SEP, THEN WHICH DATE HE CAN ENTER ON THE CORRESPONDING COLUMN.
? IS IT IMPLIED THAT DATE OF EXTENSION OF AUDIT REPORT ALSO MEANS THE DATE OF EXTENSION OF IT RETURN FILING.
PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THE CONFUSION.

This is the million dollar question at the moment. Income tax returns itself require the date of furnishing of audit report and date of signing of audit report which can only be filed after completion of Tax audit report. So what date to give?

CBDT may soon come out with clarification in this regard and may also extend the due date of IT return. But in my view it is better that we get both Tax Audit and filing of return completed on or before 30.09.2014 without waiting for CBDT Notification.

That is much better. There is no use of such extension of due date of Tax Audit Report which has led to such confusion. It would have been better had CBDT issued the revised format and its Tax Audit Utility a little earlier rather than giving such meaningless extension.
