Excise duty rate was 6.18%

now E.cess and S.H.E.C has been exempted vide notification no. 14/2015 and 15/2015

now what will be the Excise duty rate

6% or 6.5%

Please advise

02 March 2015 RATE OF EXCISE DUTY WILL BE 6% ONLY. NO NEED TO CALCULATE EDU.CESSES ON DUTY.

12.36% is now 12.50%

if rate of duty was 6.18%

now no need to make it 6.50%

please advise

02 March 2015 1. EDU. CESSES (BOTH) HAVE BEEN MERGED IN EXCISE DUTY. HENCE, NO NEED TO CALCULATE IT ON EACH RATE OF DUTY.

2. ONLY THE CHANGE IN DUTY @ 12% OR 12.36% NOT IN 6% OR 6.18%.
