My articles was completed by June2010.i took termination in May 2008 from my first principle and that time i had an excess leave of 26 days(as per ICAI letter).By the time i get my articles completed my total leaves were 165(below the limit).

Should i work for the excess leave as per ICAI letter even my over all leaves are within the limit????????

If i should work ,is there any formality of submission of any form and their time limits

24 June 2010 First thing,
Leave period is computed on over all basis.
Second, when you took transfer, It was the duty of Institute to inform you about the Excess leave as on that date.
You can set off the same from your balance available article ship period.
In Our days it was 135 days Now it might have revised. But You should know about the System, because systems never change.

You need to complete the excess leave by separate Articleship registration for those excess leave periods only----------But do this only after getting intimation from Institute.....for your safe side.
