07 January 2015 should esi be deducted on arrear wages????

07 January 2015 Nopes... in the most of states...!!!

Contributions

Contribution in respect of arrears of wages :

As and when any increase in the wages/ remuneration is declared with retrospective effect, the liability towards payment of contribution accrues only in the month in which the decision is announced and no contribution is payable on the arrears pertaining to the period prior to the month of declaration/ announcement.

07 January 2015 but if arrear is not of retrospecticve effect but it is an arrear of previous month then?????

07 January 2015 then quite obviously we had to pay.. else everyone wil do and keep themself away from payment of ESI na...!!!!

Its a mistake from your side.. so u had to deposit it

But stil lets wait what other experts says..!!
