Please tell me about ER 6 in excise, is it required to fill by all the firms or not?

ER-6 is a monthly return of receipt and consumption of each of principal inputs. Assessees paying duty of Rs. one crore or more per annum from PLA or cenvat or both.

ER-6 [Rule 9A(3) of Cenvat Credit Rules] Monthly return of receipt and consumption of each of Principal Inputs Those Assessees required to submit ER-5 return has to file ER 6 also.
