21 February 2013 I am an hardware dealer(Plywood,glass & other hardware items)in Mysore.I purchase goods from other parts of Karnataka & also interstate purchase. Am I liable to pay Entry tax.

21 February 2013 Entry tax is levied on causing entry of the schedule goods into LOCAL AREA. Local area is defined to mean a corporation limit or covering a certain area or city limits. (Normally understood as a state which is wrong). Hence you may be liable for entry tax payment should the goods be scheduled goods under KTEG Act.
