Hello I am a retired banker from Union bank of India having pension. I am no longer an active employee from past 11 years. While filling my ITR I choose government as my employer category wheareas later I came to know that it should be Others as I am no longer working with the bank. So now what should I do whether to refile my ITR under revised category or to leave it as it is? I have already received my ack no. Please guide..

It is not a ,big mistake . . You can leave it as it is . . just send signed ITR-V to CPC

Also Sir
I forgot to mention that i have another income under head salary from a private organisation. Its kind of a consultancy salary but I donot work with the firm. but I show it under income in my ITR's. Also I have a certificate for the same. But both my pension in first case & salary from private has no tax liabilities. So now is it still safe??

I Recommend you to revise your return . . So that total income earned was offered in your income tax return

Sir
I have already shown all my income coming from different sources (in my case pension & from Pvt)in my ITR. Only issue is with employer category, rest of it is all ok. Now tell me what to do?
even when you were working with the bank, I don't think you were covered under "Govt"
Union Bank of India is majority owned by Govt of India but it is not a govt body.

Yes you are right, its just this time only that i filled govt as my employer category by mistake, otherwise i used to fill others only as my employer category in my all previous returns.
