Electric fitting revenue or capital..??

This query is : Resolved

24 December 2014 Electric Fitting on rented property (rent period 11 months, period may get extended) should be treated as revenue or capital ? i had this doubt because there is possibility that in next year rent agreement may not be renewed and the same expenditure on new rented premises. Thanks in advance for your valuable replies.

25 December 2014 The rent period is 11 months hence it is a revenue expenditure.

25 December 2014 if it is linked with the machinery then you have to capitalized first time when it is installing . after that you have to debit the P/L a./c as expenditure.
