24 March 2012 Can you confirm me which is the effective date of Service Tax after Union Budget 2012-13?

24 March 2012 There is no uniform rate.
i) Certain provisions are effective from 01/04/2012, for example rate of tax 12%.
ii)Certain other amendments will be effective from the date of the notification which is to come,for example exempted services.
iii) Yet another amendments are effective from the date of assent by the President of India to the Finance Bill,2012, for example section 66B.
