25 February 2013 How to determine whether e-TDS return in case of Salary has to be filed monthly, quarterly or annually? Is there any specific criteria for determining the same?

25 February 2013 But isnt it necessary for some deductors to file monthly returns in case of Salary? Or is it just that TDS has to be deposited monthly in case of some deductors?

TDS payment is to be made on monthly but E-TDS return is required to file quarterly.

27 February 2013 TDS returns need to be submitted on quarterly basis.

TDS has to be deposited monthly but employer can apply before Income Tax authorities to permit quarterly payments.
