31 July 2011 I made a e-payment from sbi yest at 9pm, but the challan is not generated. So now wat to do, as today is last the last day of filing returns, or were/ how can i get that challan details..

plz help...

31 July 2011 You may verify whether your payment was cleared from your Internet Banking A/c.

If it is cleared then find out Challan No.
If you get CIN No of transaction in your statement you can decode it as first few digits for BSR Code and then Date and then Challan No. Fill up the details of tax payment in your return accordingly after duly checking the BSR Code and Date in CIN
No.

31 July 2011 If the payment has been made you can get the details from 26AS. So just check your 26AS Tax Credit Statement.

31 July 2011 If the payment is cleared, you must have got the particulars of transaction.

Check Form No 26AS also.

LAST OPTION:
If it is very urgent to file, put challan No as 1 and file the return. Mention other details like BSR Code , Date of Payment and amount paid etc correctly.

31 July 2011 LAST OPTION:
If it is very urgent to file, put challan No as 1 and file the return. Mention other details like BSR Code , Date of Payment and amount paid etc correctly.

(This way you will also have the option of revising your return and you can mention correct CIN no., as the return is filed within due date. But hope you will find the details in 26AS.)
