e filing password reset

Sir,
A new client has approched me for filing returns. I treid registering the client for E filing but it says the PAN is Registered. the ealier firm filing the return denies the same and says that they have neither filed the return nor registered it on the site. It makes my job more complicated as I do not have the password nor the Acknowledgment number to reset the password. How do i e-file the return. Can you help?

You have to contact the efiling administrator / or obtain the ack number from the concernec income tax officer to enable resetting the password
