08 March 2008 Whether duty drawback rates differ for excise & customs portion and for service tax portion.If yes,where i can find that

10 March 2008 There are two kinds of duty draw back rates. General rates and special rates. General rates for productwise is announced by the DGFT and you can find the same in the exim policy. If your product does not find a place in the General rates then you have to apply for spcial rates as per the procedure prescribed under exim policy. Excise and customs rates are crucial inputs for determination of drawback rates but they are not the same.

10 March 2008 The drawback rates are worked out and notified every year after taking into account the budgetary changes in the duty structure.
All Industry Rates of Duty Drawback are worked out by considering the consumption of input materials and the incidence of duties on these input materials.
